Visit Ready

Builds the page you hand your doctor. It ships with a check that fails when it plays doctor.

The situation

You have fifteen minutes with a doctor and six months of things to say. You will remember the important one in the car on the way home.

What actually happens

  1. You describe what has been happening, in your own words, over as long as it has been happening.
  2. It asks the questions a doctor would ask, one at a time.
  3. It lays it out as one page — what, since when, what you have tried, what worries you.
  4. You print it, or read it off your phone, and hand the doctor the whole picture in a minute.

Where it stops

It builds the page and then checks itself. Its rules send every draft through a check that fails when the writing has started acting like a doctor, and tell it to apply that checklist by hand if there is no tool to run it.
